Matthew Henry’s Commentary
2. “Bring them up well, in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Give them  a good education. IT  IS THE GREAT DUTY  OF PARENTS  TO BE CAREFUL IN  THE  EDUCATION OF  THEIR CHILDREN.
Not only bring them up as men, but as Christians, in the
Admonition of the Lord. Let them have a religious education.

Could you do something to help the children more?
What can we do for the children in government education? We have decided as a people that instead of turning to God, that we would turn to the government, and we have gone backward since. We should not be in the blame game, because all of us have guilt and there are so many good people in all walks of life that are unaware of what is going on, who is responsible, and what we can do? First for those who can do it, they should put them in a good Christian school, or a good Christian Home school environment, and work with the churches  and other Christians to help the parents that do not have the means or gift to make those things happen. Second we must unite Christians from all walks of life, public, private, home schools, while taking actions, to help the teachers and children who remain in the government schools, help the teachers and children in the Christian and private schools, also Christian home schools, while taking action in all parts of society to make changes that will return our culture back to a Biblical Worldview which honors God and made our families and country great. Parents must take their Biblical position of authority over the education of the children. While we are working on these most important actions, we can help the parents  with their duty in another way, with an action put in place in 1914 to help bring the children  God’s word.

 RELEASED TIME CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
IS ONE WAY THAT WILL GIVE SOME HELP TO THOSE PARENTS WITH CHILDREN THAT ARE LEFT BEHIND IN THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS AS WE WORK TO MAKE THE NECESSARY CHANGES.
 At least for now, we can bring them out of the schools for one hour per week, and teach them Creation to Christ.
To be aware and a part of the two most important actions at this point in History for the children, is something that all of us should pray about. Yet know  that you can at least do something positive in the children’s lives by getting them involved in R.T.C.E to give them God’s Word.. ALERT! There will be an information and training program in Bolivar, at 7p.m. at the Bolivar High School Auditorium, on September 8,2005. Intervention Ministries will conduct this meeting, and it will be a positive action to bring God ‘s word to some of the children in your school district. Please try to have someone from your council there on that night to see how you can be involved.

A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill in the room of 200. He asked “Who would like this $20 bill?” Hands started going up. He said, “I am going to give this $20 to one of you, but first let me do this.” He proceeded to crumple the bill up.  He then asked “Who still wants it?” Still hands went up in the air. “Well,” he replied, “What if I do this?” And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. “Now who still wants it?” Still hands went up in the air.
“My friends you have learned a valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, rumpled, and ground into dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way.” We feel as though we are worthless, but no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose value in God’s eyes. To him, dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless.

ED’S CORNER
If you are unhappy in the life you are living, stop and look at what you are doing in your day to day life.  If you think that you are number one, then you have found why you are unhappy. If you learn to think of others before yourself, you will find more happiness in your life. Jesus did this to show us a better way, so if we love Jesus as we say we do, then we will think of others first in love.  Matthew 7:12

Hewlett Packard, Disney, AT&T, Ford Motor Co., Levi Straus, Target Stores, Johnson & Johnson, Burger King, Staples Office Supply & Proctor& Gamble.

The American Family Association is also promoting a boycott of Proctor Gamble products.  We could make a big dent in their profit if we would stop buying Crest toothpaste, Pampers, Tide& Cheer detergents, etc….  Contact the office for a complete list, or link on to their web-site, from ours.

AFA of Missouri are also fighting the blight of X-Rated Videos in Southwest Missouri. Movie Gallery and Family Video, they say clearly peddle smut, a few national chains are pushing adult material while they promote themselves as a “family” video store. Movie Gallery has back rooms either with x-rated videos or a top shelf somewhere in the store. Family Video stores uses the back room method.
They boycotted both stores in Carthage, Mo. And Movie Gallery choose to pull their adult videos. We can make a difference with letting them know how we feel.
